29 weeks

How Far Along? 29 weeks
Size of Baby? Small Cabbage (17 inches, 2.9 pounds)
Maternity Clothes? Yes!
Gender? Boy oh Boy!
Movement? Lots!  I think we got to experience hiccups this week, but I am not positive
Sleep? O.K. I am waking up a lot throughout the night to readjust
What I miss? Sleeping on my belly
Exercise? Lots of walking.  I usually walk/jog for an hour at the gym everyday and then Wes and I walk again after dinner.  I think my days of walking outside are numbered.  It was 100 degrees at 8PM the other night and I was dying.
Cravings? None
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope
Symptoms? Migraines, Afternoon Slump...is this a symptom?  I get really tired everyday around 3-4PM.  Luckily, a 20 minute nap does the trick and I am good to go.
Looking forward to? Spending the next few days relaxing on the beach in Florida with my two best friends.  I promised my mom and sister that pregnancy/babies/motherhood/life will NOT affect our annual girls' trip!  Thrilled to be holding to my word.
Best Moment this Week? Finding out that I passed the glucose test.  I was so darn worried for no reason and really worked myself up over it.  So glad that is over.  Also, we celebrated our 3 year anniversary yesterday.  I am constantly reminded how lucky I am to be married to Wes.

Look who made a cameo this week!

28 weeks

Excellent sunscreen application, momma bear!

How Far Along? 28 weeks
Size of Baby? Head of Cauliflower (16 inches, 2.5 pounds)
Maternity Clothes? Yes!  Maternity shorts and a few tops.  Wearing some non-maternity dresses from past summers that are empire waist.  Still rocking my elastic nike shorts and bigger t-shirts to the gym.  I'm all about comfort now-a-days.
Gender? A little boy.
Movement? All day and all night!  I won't tire of these kicks, but I do wonder if this sweet boy ever sleeps?  I feel like I can feel his every move.  Big baby, maybe!?
Sleep? Great!
What I miss? Nothing really.
Exercise? Lots of walking, some core/strength
Cravings? None
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope
Symptoms? Migraines and leg cramps/sciatica, the migraines were horrible this week
Looking forward to? Getting back to my old workouts.  Lifting heavier weights.  Running without peeing on myself.  And the obvious...holding this sweet boy in my arms.
Best Moment this Week? Getting the dreaded glucose test over with!  It wasn't pretty and I'm pretty sure Wes will never accompany me on another trip to Specimen Collection.  But it's over with.
Quote of the Week: {We are sitting in a baptism prep class on Monday night and I sneeze...}
Wes whispers across the room, "Pssst...Did you pee yourself?"

weekend recap

We had a packed weekend!  We finished painting the walls of the nursery white and we started working on taping off the stripes that will go below the chair rail.  Hopefully, we will be able to paint the navy stripes sometime this week.  Wes is so meticulous and it's times like these when I appreciate that trait the most!

We also did a little shopping and put the final touches on our baby registry.  It took me 3 months, but it is finally complete.  Not sure if I should admit this, but I don't think I have ever lifted a baby carrier until this past weekend.  That thing was heavy...and it was also empty...no baby!  This momma will be kicking my strength training up a notch the next few weeks.

We spent Sunday afternoon on the lake relaxing with friends.  On Sunday night, we grilled burgers and  sat out on our newly finished patio.  We have been fortunate in that we have not been affected by the tornados that are sweeping through Oklahoma over the last few weeks, we have however enjoyed the cooler temperatures that the nearby tornados bring.   Our prayers are with those in OKC.

27 weeks

Hello third trimester!!!
Gheez...Momma grew a lot this week!
How Far Along? 27 weeks
Size of Baby? Cucumber (15 inches, 2.2 pounds)
Maternity Clothes? I finally bit the bullet.  My mom took me on a shopping spree this weekend and I loaded up on maternity shorts, tops, a few dresses and....a MATERNITY SWIM SUIT.  Lord, I never thought the day would come.  I'm officially a mom.
Gender? A sweet little boy.
Movement? All day long!  We can see movement on the outside now.
Sleep? Great!  I feel like I am carrying more weight on the left, so Wes suggested we switch sides of the bed and it has made all the difference in the world.
What I miss? Nothing really.
Exercise? Lots of walking, little weights and squats/abs
Cravings? Still none
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope
Symptoms? Headaches and leg cramps/sciatica
Looking forward to? Meeting this sweet boy!
Best Moment this Week? We spent the past weekend in San Antonio with family.  As always, Baby Moeller made it back with a whole truck load of loot, including a dresser/changing table, 52 (yes...52) new books, bottles, stuffed animals, blankets, bibs, shoes and enough clothes to get him through college.  Can you tell he is the first grandchild on both sides?  I am SO grateful for our generous families.  I can't say that enough.

 And a little bump progress...

26 weeks

How Far Along? 26 weeks
Size of Baby? Eggplant (9.2 inches, 2 pounds)
Maternity Clothes? It's official, the belly band is no longer cutting it. My pre-preggo shorts no longer fit.  Wearing lots of flow-y cotton dresses and tops....planning on buying a few pairs of maternity shorts this weekend to get me through the summer.
Gender? All BOY!
Movement? Tons
Sleep? It takes me a good hour to get comfortable, but once I get there I am sleeping great.  Between the amount of pillows wedged in front of my belly, behind my back and between my legs, poor Wes is left with no room.  We need a bigger bed.
What I miss? Nothing
Exercise? Lots of walking and a little spurts of jogging.  The jogging is very limited to my darn bladder.
Cravings? Eating my weight in watermelon this week...but that is nothing new for me {remember last year!?!}
Anything making you queasy or sick? No
Symptoms? Headaches are still there, but not nearly as bad as before.  Some leg cramps, but they are very tolerable right now.
Looking forward to? Meeting this baby boy!  Less than 100 days. Crazy.
Best Moment this Week? I am feeling SO GOOD.  I hate to say this and completely jinx it.  But FINALLY, at 26 weeks in, I get it now, I get why women love pregnancy so much.  I am finally loving my body again, embracing this little bump and I am wearing clothes that accentuate my bump, not hide it.  My energy is high, I am motivated to work out, cook dinner and finally catch up on all the things I have been avoiding for the last 6 months.  I feel better than I have felt in a long time and I am trying to enjoy these days before I get too uncomfortable.  This stage is my favorite and I'm pretty sure Wes is loving it too.  He's finally got his ol' wife back!

nursery plans

I am so excited about this little babe's nursery.  I always knew that if I had a little boy, I wanted a navy blue/white nursery with "touches" of nautical.  I am trying not to go overboard.  No pun intended.  You may remember this ship wheel that we spotted while antique shopping in Seoul almost two years ago.  This little gem has made it through several moves and is the inspiration behind our little boy's nursery.

Here is my vision for the nursery, so far:

{1} The infamous ship wheel flown in from Korea!

{2 & 5} We ordered the drapes and bedding from Restoration Hardware.

{3} This dresser is Pottery Barn.  I love it.  We haven't ordered the dresser yet, but we are planning to do that very soon.

{4} Originally found {here}. My amazing and talented friend, Marianna Carlson, recreated these beautiful canvases for the nursery!  And they turned out awesome.

{5} The bedding is from {here}, I used the "chip it" ap by Sherwin Williams to pick the paint colors.  We will use Extra White and Naval (not to be confused with "the navy")

{6} I have my eye on this glider from Target, but Wes insists that we need to go and test it out before we purchase.

{7} Crib is Pottery Barn.  This was the first thing that went into the nursery, thanks to my parents.

We chose to paint the walls white and to add a thick chair rail.  Wes will paint thin navy/white stripes below the chair rail. Still trying to decide what kind of rug I want..I am thinking chevron, but haven't found a rug that I love yet.

Stay tuned for nursery progress!

25 weeks

How Far Along? 25 weeks
Size of Baby? Eggplant (9 inches, 1.7 pounds)
Maternity Clothes? Wearing mostly bigger tops and stretchy yoga pants, my sister sent me a bunch of medium tops from banana republic and I am loving them.  Still using the belly band to keep my pre-preggo shorts on.
Gender? BOY!
Movement? Tons
Sleep? No complaints other than nightmares...they are completely unrelated to baby too. I have a re-occuring dream that my sister doesn't follow the wedding day timeline I laid out for her.  Wait, that was real life!
What I miss? I get full and uncomfortable really easily when I eat even the smallest amount of food.  I can only eat one or two slices of watermelon, I miss being able to eat the whole thing in one sitting.
Exercise? Lots of walking
Cravings? Not really.  I am loving fruit.  But I am always fond of fruit.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope
Symptoms? Migraines and leg cramps
Looking forward to? Seeing this nursery come together.  With the help of my (interior designer) mom, my vision for the nursery is slowly coming to life.  It took me so long to decide exactly what I wanted and now that everything is coming together I am getting excited!  I am getting anxious to paint and I think Wes is going to start this weekend.
Best Moment this Week? We finally ordered the bedding/drapes from RH this week.  The drapes arrived this week.  Decorating a little boys nursery has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember.
